Now you can import previous settings from gcode sliced with Slic3r.
File -> Import Config from GCode-File…
It then creates a new ini file, named after your GCode file in the same directory AND loads it directly.

Thanks I will take a look at this tonight.
Would you be willing to make a PR against Slic3r-Manual discussing its usage?
