This extension is a modified verison of the original one by @shreyash-b (and other contributors) that adds some personal tweaks to the web app. It aims to improve the whatsapp web experience (for me at least) by not only displaying the app content in fullscreen (like it should by default), but also letting the user resize the chats sidebar. Additionaly it makes the side-panel menus (like config or profile) appear in fullscreen rather than only covering the left side of the screen.
The extension should work on any chromium based browser such as Chrome, Brave, Opera, Edge...
- Download this repo and extract it somewhere safe
- On your browser, navigate to
chrome://extensionsand enable Developer Mode there - Click Load Unpacked and select the folder that contains the extension files (fullscreen-whatsapp-web-main)
- That's it, remember not to delete the downloaded folder, otherwise the extension goes as well!
