Side Portal

Side Portal is a Chrome Extension which improves navigating in Wikipedia by adding a right sidebar, and providing a graph view of your articles.

Install

You can install Side Portal from the Chrome Extension Store here.

Build

  1. Run the following commands:
npm install
./install.sh
  1. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions

  2. Click on the Load Unpacked button and select the ext folder.

Tips

To open/close Side Portal, click on the grey icon in the top right corner of your Chrome.

You can also click on the pin icon to keep it next to your address bar. Create a keyboard shortcut to open/close Side Portal by going to this page: chrome://extensions/shortcuts and assigning a shortcut key to Side Portal.

Privacy

Side Portal does not collect any user data. Furthermore, there is no Google Analytics, or any user tracking scripts. Since this is a Chrome Extension, certain aggregate statistics (such as Daily Installs/Uninstalls) are provided by Google to every extension owner.
