How do I get Fluff Images to work

Dave N edited this page May 4, 2023 · 5 revisions

First, we can't provide the Fluff images. That said you with a bit of Googling they can be found.

Fluff images have to go into the \data\images\fluff folder within the correct unit type subfolder.

It is very important that the name of image exactly matches the name in the unit selector.

So, for the image seen above, the image goes in the mech folder. It would be called Sunder SD1-0G.xxx, where xxx is the image file extension. We recommend using PNG files for these.

SUPPORTED IMAGE TYPES.

The only supported images for fluff are: ".png", ".jpg", ".gif", ".PNG", ".JPG", ".GIF"

We recommend PNG file format for best result.

FOLDER STRUCTURE

As of the 0.49.9-Dev Release the folder structure has been updated to make it easier to understand what fluff images go into what folder.

The new structure is (the names are case sensitive)

  • BattleArmor - All things Battle Armor
  • ConvFighter - Conventional fighters, stuff like Strike Fighters and Mechbusters.
  • Dropship - any unit constructed as a Dropship, this will include almost all Pocket Warships
  • Fighter - Aerospace fighters only.
  • Infantry - Standard PBI infantry NOT Battle Armor of any type
  • Jumpship - Jumpships only, True Warships will go into the Warship Folder
  • Mech - Big stompy things includes LAMS, Quadvees, Super Heavies.
  • Protomek - Protomeks only
  • Small Craft - Small Craft like the Ares
  • Space Station - Space Station like the Bastion and Pavise (That's no moon)
  • Vehicles - All vehicles except Conventional Fighters.
  • Warships - Warships only not Jumpships or pocket warships.

Prior to this release the structure was:

  • mech
  • aero
  • BattleArmor
  • vehicle
