moveIt

moveIt is a free automation tool based on AutoHotkey language. It features moving mouse programatically to prevent Windows going to sleep or lock screen, keeps communication channel such as Google Chat, Slack, Microsoft Teams status active, and much more use case. The application can be run in binary right away by following the getting started guide, or you may customize to your usage by tweaking the scripts in AutoHotkey Script format.

Supported platforms

Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10

(NOT tested on Windows XP, Vista)

Getting Started (For standard users)

1. Click on green color "Code" button, and select "Download ZIP".
2. Unzip the file and run "moveIt.exe".
3. Press F11 to start the automation.
4. Press F12 to stop the automation.

Startup Instructions

1. Shall you want to use this tool often, run "addToStartup.exe", and the application will run everytime your Windows boot up.
2. Shall you don't want to use this tool often anymore, run "removeFromStartup.exe", and the application will no longer run everytime your Windows boot up.
3. You may run "checkStartup.exe" to check the startup folder status.

Contribution Instructions (For expert users)

Source requires the latest version of AutoHotkey to run.

To contribute you'll need:

• The latest version of AutoHotkey installed.
• Any text editor, I'd prefer SciTE4AutoHotkey
• Github account

1. Create a new branch, name it a new feature or improvements.
2. Change the codes for ".ahk" files.
3. Right click on ".ahk" file, select "Compile Script", generating ".exe" files.
4. Push to your branch.
5. Submit a pull request.
