We shouldn’t encourage
url doto circumvent download protections on the main repos. That leads to a chasing game where we always lose. If a vendor doesn’t want their software to be downloaded by their users how they want, that’s their choice.Every time we went against that, the software was either unpopular anyway, or so difficult to maintain that we had to remove the cask.
