I love the automatic branch notification at the end of a project name, but seeing [not a git repo] on every single folder I open that isn't a Git repo is pretty annoying. Can't the logic simply be to show the branch where it makes sense and for projects that aren't using Git, simply do nothing?

Definitely, I'll make it less invasive when there's no git repository available.

Removed. 0.8.9 is now in the registry.
