Add-on seems to break quoted message formatting

The formatting of the reply view is affected by the add on. Quoted text appears in blue in replies – this is important when replying in-line to see what is happening. Unfortunately the add-on seems to break some aspect of this and quotes are rendered in black. I am not sure what the other implications of this are in terms of formatting.
