I use phpstorm for web development and when I search for a project or a file from that project it's show some unusual file extension from recentFiles folder

An option where you can exclude a specific folder OR a specific extension will be nice.

Good idea, one way you can do that right now is via Search settings.

I think this would still be useful in other cases. For example, when you LaTeX files, they create four or five different extensions all with the same name (filename.pdf, filename.txt, filename.aux and a few others), but the user only ever interacts with two. Being able to blacklist some of those file extensions would reduce a lot of clutter and clean up searches.

Excluding file by extensions is already possible using the Indexing Options:
