I would like to ask for a pop-up menu when making new files, similar to Photoshop, Inkscape and Xournalpp.
This menu should contain templates for new files that includes Page format, Document layout, Background colors and so on.
Motive
I use Rnote mainly for 3 things:
Taking notes during lectures.
Annotating presentations, screenshots, pdf's etc.
Doing math homework assignments.
For each of this activities I tend to use different layout's color and so on.
I like to have infinite canvas when annotating files but homework has to be hand over in a certain format.
I think adding a minimal way to change the settings for a new file would go a long way.
Workaround
Currently my workaround is make a file template myself in the file manager, right clicking and choosing the correct format, however this requires me to use the file manager and thus making the in-app workspace menu useless.
Another issue with this method is other users that might not be using linux or simply use other distros that not necessarily support file templates, have to copy the files manually each time.
