As the title suggests, I went ahead and added the ppa and tried to apt-get update. But this error showed up.

I 'm under ubuntu 16.04

Same here. Tried to install it on artful and changed the source to vivid. But still i was not able to install it.

Software is old, unneeded and unmaintained.
Please stop using it.
