I'm so sorry, but I fucked it up again.
This time, I actually tested it and it works fine, even though it's more than a little hacky.
We could also use
git diff-tree --root hashfor the root commit, but that won't work with difftool :(http://git.661346.n2.nabble.com/git-diff-tree-against-the-root-commit-td5685272.html
