'wandering' parameter for galaxy centre

Michele (@cantiello) and I are also facing another problem while running the fit_image routine. You have already provided an option in EllipseGeometry to fix the centre coordinates, the position angle and the ellipticity. However, this doesn't seem to be doing the trick for us. We especially miss the 'wandering' parameter of IRAF that allowed one to let the centre drift within a certain bound without fixing it to a specific value.

Would it be possible to implement some version of this in photutils as well?
