Sources

Code is organized according to the Maven convention in src/main/java and src/test/java. In addition Robot Framework test cases for all the keywords are located in src/test/resources/robot-tests

Building

SwingLibrary uses Apache Maven_ as a build tool.

  • mvn package packages SwingLibrary with dependencies.
  • mvn verify runs Robot Framework tests.
  • mvn -Dsuites=tablekeywords -Dinvoker.skip=true verify runs Robot Framework tests for a specific suite and skips the invoker tests. Also try -Dtests= option.
  • mvn package robotframework:libdoc compiles the code and generates library documentation
  • mvn exec:java -Dexec.mainClass=org.robotframework.swing.testapp.TestApplication starts the test app

Releasing

  • update release notes
  • update version number to pom.xml
  • create git tag for new version (git commit -am "x.x.x", git tag -a x.x.x, git push, git push --tags)
  • You need to have a pgp key (use gpg tool to generate this and deploy your public key to a key server)
  • You need to have sonatype user account (and rights to do releases for org.robotframework)
  • You need to have your sonatype username and password in .m2/settings.xml for server id sonatype-nexus-staging
  • mvn deploy deploys the library to maven central. You can skip tests with -Dmaven.test.skip=true.
  • Go to https://oss.sonatype.org/index.html#welcome, log in with Sonatype credentials, find the staging repository and do close & release
  • XML-spec and library docs are generated automatically by integration-test phase.
  • upload jar, library docs, and spec xml to Github releases.
  • Change to branch gh-pages and add documentation html. commit and push. Modify the README.rest in master to point to the latest version release and docs.
